Shizuoka Training Camp & Pre-Season Friendlies…

Hello there, fellow Tricolore comrades! It’s been more than a week since our last update and quite a bit has happened during the interim, namely the eruption of Mt. Shin-Moedake in Miyazaki which resulted in our club having to postpone it’s annual Kyushu training camp and opt instead for the cold weather in Shizuoka where we held our 3 day pre-season training at the Shizuoka National Training Centre (J-STEP).

Before the training camp however, we had 2 pre-season friendlies in as many days, both of which were held at Marinos Town on the 6th and 7th…

  1. Blake says:

    Awesome stuff.

Great to see Bastianini getting back into the picture. He will be welcomed warmly by me when I see him back on Nissan.

Whats the deal with Ono? He didn’t feature at all in the preseason friendlies. Is he nursing a strain or something? Didnt see anything about that.

  2. Daniel says:

Happy to see Watanabe in the mix. I’m very hopeful to see some big numbers from him this season. I was also curious of the whereabouts of Ono.

  3. Daniel says:

Never mind I’ve been told he’s been training with the U-22 squad.

  4. Brendan says:

Doh! Sorry for the slow response Daniel!

Yes, you’re quite right. Ono has been on a week long training camp with the Japan U22 National squad. He is expected to be back at Marinos Town from today!

On a side note, looking over the past few friendly results, it seems that both Matsumoto’s seem to have a lot to give with both of them scoring a few goals.
Hopefully Bastianini has been putting in a positive performance too…
